Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 3rd March 2015.

At the British Colombia Hall.

Present: -

Cllrs. S. Dawson (chairman)   D. Harrod, M. Turville-Petre.  Dist Cllr. D. Young,   

Four members of the public.                                             J. Stibbons (clerk)

The meeting was opened at 7.30pm

1.     Apologies. Cllrs. N. Cary, C. Large, S. Johns,   County Cllr. M. Baker, PCSO Bridges

2.     There were no declarations of interest.

3.     The minutes of the meetings of 13th January 2015, having been previously circulated, were approved by the members present and signed by the chairman.

4.     Matters arising from the minutes. It was noted that there are now two seats at the playing field

5.     Reports.

Dist. Cllr. Young. The District Council budget has been approved. There is a planning application for a wind turbine at Hempstead and a similar application at Bodham is awaiting appeal.

Discussions with Norfolk Property Services are still ongoing concerning the high price asked for the Market Lane site. When further investigation has taken place and more information is available the Parish Council will write to NPS supporting Mr. Young.

6.      Play Area.

Plans are in hand to make applications for play equipment. There is £3160 in the Playing Field account which can also be used. It was suggested that a “Pirate Ship” should be considered.

7.     Village Green.

Access to the green is to be completed. Speeding cars are a danger. Holiday makers and other pedestrians have no footpath. An attempt will be made to have this designated a 20mph stretch of road.

8.     Planning.

The following decisions were read to the meeting.

PF/14/1368 Change of use to churchyard and creation of pedestrian access Permitted

LA/14/1369 St. Nicholas church, Insertion of pedestrian access to boundary wall Permitted

PF/14/1598 Installation of swimming pool, Salthouse Hall Permitted

9.     Finances

Current a/c   £3339.69        

Cheques for payment: - J. Stibbons salary/expenses Dec/Feb £539.42

10.  Correspondence. There was no correspondence

 11.  Public Questions

It was noted that the seat had been replaced on the heath.

The seats on the Playing Field are fine but they are not permanently fixed and could be removed.

12.  Matters for information.

The clerk reminded everyone that this was the last scheduled Salthouse Parish Council meeting before the elections on 7th May 2015.  Nomination packs were distributed to persons wishing to stand fo0r election.

The meeting was reminded that all completed nominations must be delivered to NNDC by 4pm on Thursday 9th April.

The next meeting of Salthouse Parish Council is planned for Tuesday 12th May 2015

There being no further business the chairman closed the meeting at 8.38pm.
