Correspondence.
· N. Lamb. M.P. Had been asked by a constituent why there is no provision for dog waste in Salthouse? The Parish Council decided that these were not appropriate in the village as it was an A.N.O.B. but the provision of small signs would be investigated. It was agreed to write to Mr Lamb saying that dog bins could be provided at the new Beach Car park when it was operational.
· NNDC will be holding a Wider Engagement Scheme at their Cromer offices on Wednesday 4th February. It was agreed to reserve four places.
· A Light Pollution Questionnaire from the Campaign to Protect Rural England was discussed and completed. It was felt that security lights could be a problem in some instances.
· The Open Spaces Society asked if the Parish Council were aware if there had ever been a proposal to extinguish the Salthouse Restricted Byway Number 6.
The parish council had never had such a proposal.
Public Questions
Q. Was the shingle bank being monitored?
A. It is being monitored by the Environment Agency wit reports to the Flood Wardens. There has been no0 change so far but this is reliant on the weather. So far the winds have been from a Southerly direction.
Q. Will anything be done about the pot holes round the green?
A. Highways will be contacted but they will only repair the road surface.
Matters for information.
It was noted that the main river was being dredged at present. The high tide in February is expected to be 9.4 meters.
It was suggested that it would be beneficial to have a Defibrillator in the village, possibly at the telephone box. There would need to be fund raising organised.
It was agreed to change the day of parish council meetings to the first Tuesday in alternate months. I.e. March 3rd. July 7th, September 1st, and November 3rd. The meeting in May will have to stay at Tuesday 12th May as this must come immediately after the elections to be held on 7th May.
